To initiate, engage and support activities that would facilitate the eradication of Trafficking in persons. To carry out researches and surveys that would generate critical data on emerging issues relevant to focus areas and disseminate same to other stakeholders.
Child labour: An outreach service for children in need of care and protection. This responds to needs of children by providing emergency assistance and linking them to specific resource organizations for long term rehabilitation services with planned follow-ups thus assisting the children to fight with the difficult circumstances of her/his life.
It works with children in need of care and protection with the view to ensure their basic right. Usually it works with children up to 18 years of age but in special circumstances it also assists girls and boys of up to 25 years of age. Major Targeted people are as follows:
  1. Street children living alone on the street   Missing children
  2. Children abandoned by parents/guardians Children in need of medical help
  3. Child labourers 6. Domestic help, especially girl domestics
  4. Children who have been abused (Weather mentally/physically/sexually/ economically within the family or by others in their environment)
  5. Children who need emotional support and guidance 9. Child victims of flesh trade and children of sex workers
  6. Child addicts 11. Children in conflict with law     12. Children in institutions
  7. Mentally ill children 14. Children affected by conflicts and disasters

Violence against women: To mobilize, motivate and network with stakeholders to respond to the challenges of trafficking in persons, abuse of the rights of women, youth and children.
Child Abuse: To offer rehabilitation support services to trafficked persons and vulnerable persons most especially children and reintegrate them into their communities in accordance with their best interests.
 Hiv/Aids programme:  Nobody can deny the intractable link between human trafficking, child labour and the spread of HIV/AIDS. It is for this reason that ACN foundation evolved a programme to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS among out of school youth as well as other groups that are most at risk.
ACN foundation works with Female Sex Workers (FSWs) and their clients to promote behavior change through the provision of comprehensive correct knowledge of HIV/AIDS and alternative income generating opportunities for those who volunteer to opt out of the sex work. Out of School Youth (OSY) are also target for ACN foundation HIV/AIDS programme. They are mobilized and given comprehensive correct knowledge of HIV/AIDS, how to prevent themselves from the disease and other STIs and to be able to make informed decision regarding their sexual and reproductive health. Both the FSWs and OSYs are given Essential Life Skills (ELS) training to help them deal effectively with the challenges of everyday life
VICTIMS ASSISTANCE: ACN foundation offers assistance to young women, boys and girls who are victims of external and internal trafficking, child labour and abuse. The foundation does this through the provision of support services such as shelter, psycho-social counselling, food, clothing, health, family tracing and reunification. Children are encouraged and supported to benefit from formal education in primary and secondary schools while the adults are empowered with self-employable skills like tailoring, hair dressing, leatherworks and beads making. Essential life skills’ training is organized for the beneficiaries as part of the process for societal re-integration.
Youth development:  The youth programme organizes, motivates, supports the youth, investigates and promotes bold and creative ways of engaging young people to stimulate community development. This consist of school clubs and youth bodies and focuses on essential life skills training, girl child empowerment and the development of a new youth culture of service which include building of competence, confidence, leadership and character development.
Community Development Scheme   This strategy, is carried out in partnership with the Directorate of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Serving youth corps members are employed as effective agents of peer education as well as community sensitization on the evils of trafficking, child labour and the spread of HIV/AIDS.
The Youth Corps members sign up and form the ACN FOUNDATION/NYSC/CDS Vanguard. They are given initial training in order to build their knowledge and attitude about trafficking, child labour, HIV/AIDS and leadership skills. Once every week, as part of service to their immediate communities, members of the Vanguards visit primary and secondary schools to educate and enlighten the pupils, students and their teachers on the evils of trafficking, child labour and HIV/AIDS. They also take the campaigns to the markets and other community gatherings
ADVOCACY - Legislative advocacy focuses on promotion of better laws for the protection of women and children, especially concerning trafficking child labour/abuse and HIV/AIDS.
Policy Advocacy and sensitization of policy makers to stimulate the adoption of best practices into policy in both government and non-governmental fields.
Advocacy and sensitization meetings, with opinion leaders, other NGOs, professionals and the media.
